In August 2025, Metropolitan Corridor Services Sdn Bhd, through its Learning & Development Division, Metro iDigital, entered into a strategic collaboration with ICDL to develop the digital capabilities of future accountants at Sunway TES Centre for Accountancy Excellence (CAE).

The collaboration was established as part of the Sunway TES EDGE initiative, with a clear objective: to ensure that tomorrow’s accounting professionals are not only future-ready, but anytime-ready.

Through the programme, Metro iDigital supports the development of Sunway TES students across three critical digital competencies — Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics and Financial Spreadsheets.

These are not skills designed simply to complement an accounting qualification. They are capabilities that change how a future accountant approaches problems.

With the right digital foundation, students learn how to analyse information, interpret data, simulate scenarios, automate repetitive processes, identify patterns and solve business problems faster and more effectively.

One Year Later, We Are Not Announcing What We Plan To Do

We are announcing what we did, what we are doing, and what we will continue to do.

For Metropolitan Corridor, talent development has never been about running programmes for the sake of training. It is about creating capabilities that continue to matter long after a classroom session ends.

Our involvement in Sunway TES EDGE reflects a belief that the accountant of the future must be more than technically competent. They must be able to work confidently with technology, make sense of increasingly complex information and use digital tools to turn knowledge into action.

The signing in August 2025 represented the beginning of that commitment.

A year later, the work continues.

Metro has long played a part in shaping Malaysia’s talent, connecting education, professional certification and practical digital capability to prepare individuals for a rapidly changing economy.
